Then there are the ones that followed and attempted to complete the valley rim trail: Simon, Jocelyn, Raj, Jimi, Hannah, Peeta, Stine. Equally, the ones that started with them and had to retire from their attempt for different reasons: Aaron, Richard. These attempt would never have been possible without the amazing pacers and back up support provided by Mahesh, Giri, Ram, Mahesh, Rashila, Humi, Bikash, Jeevan, Aashish, Rashila and the readiness of lodges along the trail to stay open all night and provide food and some place to rest a few minutes for the tired legs, including Solid Rock lodge, the Famous Farmhouse, Lakuri Terraces, Ranikot Trekker’s village.

Finally, the acknowledgement should go out to all the beautiful people that live along the trail or met us while they were out on the ridge and greeted us with a smile, some water or words of encouragements.
