30 KM
The MTR 30 km race is an exciting and challenging trail run that will take participants through the stunning landscapes of the Kathmandu valley and its surrounding mountains. With the race starting from the Solid Rock Lodge in Dollu, runners will start in a beautiful and lush outskirt of the Kathmandu valley near Pharping.
The 30 km race will start at 7:00 AM on Saturday, 15th March, 2025 from Dollu. Participants will join the last 30 km of the 100KM and 100 Miles trail, meeting participants from these races that started the previous day. Participants of the MTR 30 KM will earn ITRA 2 points, making it a valuable addition to their trail running resume.
The transportation for the participants will be available from Kathmandu on 15th March, Saturday early morning (Race Brief will specify Exact Time and Locations of Pickup).

Course
The MTR 30 km course for the race will start from Dollu, from where they start their race with a climb up to Champadevi, followed by beautiful single tracks over Basmasur to end up with a glorious view of the Himalayas while they make their way up to Chandragiri. From here, the trail continues over the ridge, followed by a technical downhill though the jungle to Naagdungha, after which runners will start their last climb to Kalupandey. The race will conclude at Single Tree, where runners can reflect on their accomplishments and enjoy the satisfaction of having completed a demanding and rewarding trail.
Finish Line
The MTR 30 km race will finish at Single Tree, a small village located at the edge of the valley, near Halchowk. Upon reaching the finish line, runners will be welcomed in a celebratory atmosphere, where they will be greeted with warm drinks, snacks, and a memorable medal to commemorate their achievements. Finishers will have the opportunity to relax, recover, and share their experiences with other participants, friends, and families. The finish line area will also have medical personnel available to assist any runners who may need assistance or care. The race finish at Single Tree also marks the finish of the 100 mile, the 100 km and the 50 km.

Race Package Includes :

The cost of the MTR 100 Miler Race package includes Transportation – Pick up from a designated location from inside Kathmandu Valley till Race Venue, Dinner/ Light Meal on the 14th evening before race.
Mandatory Gear List
The MTR 30K requires all participants to be fully equipped with the necessary gear to ensure their safety and success on the course. So before the start of the race, runners will undergo a gear check to ensure they have the following mandatory gear items:
- Hydration Pack with Minimum Capacity of 2 liters Water
- Proper Trail Running Shoes
- Hydration (ORS) Tabs (Jeevan Jal)
- Fully Charged Mobile Phone with Credit Balance & the 30KM GPX Route uploaded on a preferred Apps like Wikiloc, Maps Me, Suunto, etc.
